CHURCH OF SAN GIROLAMO

The Church of San Girolamo degli Schiavoni, also known as San Girolamo dei Croati, is located on Via di Ripetta in Rome. Established in 1453 by Pope Nicholas V for the Croatian community, it was rebuilt in 1588–1589 by Martino Longhi the Elder under Pope Sixtus V. For my master's thesis I had to model all the buildings that were part of the Porto di Ripetta so, since this church is still existing, a survey of the facade was conducted  using direct measurements and digital photogrammetry (SfM). This approach enabled the creation of accurate 3D models that were later semplified and translated also in 2D models. The integration of these methods provides a comprehensive digital representation also aiding in preservation and further study of this historic monument.
